Franklin Christoph 46L
Posted by Lois Ho on
When Franklin Christoph released the Pocket 45 a few years back, I picked it up straight away and I was lucky enough to own an “IPO” edition. However the pen didn’t get much use – I don’t really use Pocket sized pens and the Jowo #5 nibs aren’t my friend.
I sold my IPO 45 last year and I was interested in picking up the 46L edition instead. The overall design between the 45 and 46L are:
- The 46L uses a Jowo #6 nib
- It can hold an International Standard converter
I enjoyed the original design of the 45 but I just wanted something bigger, that could take a converter (I don’t eyedropper so I was refilling old cartridges to use in my 45) and I prefer the #6 nib, so this seemed to suit my needs. To top it off, it was available in Italian Ice – one of my favourite materials.
I was lucky to have this shipped by Fedex – I have heard since that Franklin Christoph has changed its international free shipping options since my purchase, so I received this pen in reasonably good time given the global issues nowadays.
I am super pleased that all of my needs that weren’t met by the 45 has been in the 46L. I am so happy with this pen and I am so glad I picked it up. If the 45 was too small for you, I encourage you to check out their other “4” options – they now have a 45L (#5 nib that fits a converter) and the 46L.
